March 31st 2012.
Another financial year ends…… Now, its time for revealing the
exact figures for the last financial year, 2011 -12. Companies and Official
bodies will now check how much they have spent out of the estimated budget. The
profit and loss statement will be out within a month or so. But where is the
common man.
He is there not affected by any of the statistics provided
by the company corporate or government. They are still trying to live hard in
this global environment. They live to make two ends meet. They are not run by
the profit of the corporate houses. They all wait for the next hike in the
salary. Expenses have shoot up. Price of Onion and vegetables have increased. Food
Grains are now costlier. They need a hike in salary.
Subsidy will be provided to people below poverty line. And where
is this poverty line – Persons who earn below Rs 28 and Rs 22 come under this
line. SO NOW IN INDIA
NO POVERTY…
Cooking Gas is costlier but no subsidy since people are
above poverty line. No farm subsidies since people are above poverty line. Farmers
do not get the finance as it been taken
away by the NBFCs.
Strengthening of Co-operative sector has never been an objective
for the government. I am not here to say about the importance of co-operative
sector, but it’s the real alternative for the common man to fight against the
evils of privatisation of the economy. This year 2012 has been declared as the
International Year of Co-operatives. But how much one knows about the matter. I
don’t think any one seem to be really interested in the co-operative sector.
